Working with Charts: Basic Charting

This book explains basic chart operations, including how to create a new chart, open a chart, save a chart, select and move chart elements, and how to cut, copy, and paste items in your charts.

Functionality is described in progressive steps. For example, you will first learn how to add boxes to a chart, then how to add and remove fields in those boxes, and finally how to format those boxes.

Note: The terms project, file, and chart are somewhat interchangeable. Each project can contain one or more charts, and each chart is saved and stored as a file. See Understanding Projects, Charts, and Templates for more information.
